On behalf of the Dover Police Department I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for visiting our webpage.

The Dover Police Department is an accredited agency responsible for the primary law enforcement needs of the State’s Capital and it is my pleasure to serve as the Chief of Police. I take great pride in working with the outstanding men and women of our department. Their commitment and dedication to protecting and serving the citizens of Dover and its visitors are truly remarkable.

The Dover Police Department is responsible for the delivery of law enforcement services to a city encompassing more than 40 square miles and 37,000 residents. Dover enjoys a relatively low crime rate that is directly attributable to quality employees, proactive policing, new and innovative equipment, the strong support of the Mayor and City Council, and various community partnerships.

Our department is a community oriented, full service agency which provides Administrative, Patrol, Criminal Investigations, Community Policing, Special Enforcement, 9-1-1 Center and Emergency Services.
