The Operations Division is charged with responsibility for all line functions except for those assigned to the Special Operations Response Team and functions that are within the Administrative Division.  The Operations Division Commmander holds the rank of Captain and is the third highest ranking member of the department. The Operations Division Commander directly supervises the Patrol Unit, the Criminal Investigations Unit, the Special Enforcement Unit, and the Communications Section through the 911 Manager.  The Operations Division Commander is also responsible for the public information function of the Department.  The current Operations Division Commander is Captain Timothy Stump.
