As Public Affairs Coordinator I am the primary point of contact with citizens and other departments to provide information and assistance, resolve issues and complaints and I oversee the Customer Relations Tracking Software making sure that constituent issues are handled in a timely and professional manner.
I also prepare the City of Dover Newsletter, and handle all media correspondences or news releases and other public communications. I train all of our employees annually on Customer Service and Public Relations. It is our priority to give our constituents the timely attention they want and deserve. I also do a substantial amount of community outreach in the schools and at different events. Educating our community on everything from Electrical Safety to Emergency Management, Recycling, or services that the City of Dover offers.
Recently we redid our website, hoping to make it more user friendly. This was another project that I was able to oversee and will continue to make improvements on as time goes by.
