Sanitation

In general, this division of the Department of Public Works has responsibility for the collection and transport of municipal solid waste. It is responsible for the following tasks:
  • Collects and transports approximately 16,000 tons per year of refuse from more than 8,000 residential and 600 commercial customers to the Sandtown Landfill.
