Job Description

Web Programmer/Analyst

Department:  Information Technology

Job Summary:
The City of Dover Information Technology Department is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Web Programmer/Analyst. The essential function of the position within the organization is to perform systems analysis, design and create complex computer applications and to develop and maintain Internet and Intranet applications. The candidate must be a self-motivated team player who has the ability to take our browser applications to increasing levels of functionality (for example: on-line billing and payment processing for a wide variety of city services).The Web Programmer/Analyst is also responsible for cross training and support of the Senior Programmer/Analyst whose specialty is iSeries programming and database management.

Job Requirements:
It is desired that applicants have a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college in the technology field and have a minimum of 3 years of concentrated experience in web development and web management. Working knowledge of HTML, Cold Fusion, SQL, Macromedia Suite, and Adobe Creative Suite is required. Experience using Access, PHP, RPG, and DB2 database is desired. Along with the application, candidates must provide at least one URL of a website for review. Please include salary history information. If selected for an interview, candidate may be requested to provide an electronic sample of a web or Intranet based application for review.

Job Salary:  $42,494 - $58,698 (Depending on Qualifications)
