ENERGY DEPOT online tools to manage home energy use
Delaware Municipal Electric Corporation (DEMEC) and its nine municipal utility members have implemented a new service called Energy Depot, a set of online tools and resources to help their customers better understand and manage their home energy use and costs.
Energy Depot is a one-stop resource for energy information and it's available FREE to all municipal service customers in Delaware!
Municipal utility customers can immediately begin to use Energy Depot to:
- Receive a personalized energy profile with an estimate of energy costs for each home energy system/appliance
- Learn specific things you can do to reduce your energy use and how much you can save
- Complete a do-it-yourself home energy audit and receive the report online
- Quickly estimate the annual energy use and cost of home energy systems and appliances with the Energy Calculator
- Compare your existing heating and cooling system, or water heater, to a range of new systems, or compare two new systems to each other. Determine how soon you can pay for your new system through energy savings.
- Use the Energy Library to answer your energy questions
- Get answers to the most frequently asked questions regarding home energy use
