Regular council meetings are held on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. Please note that regular meeting dates may vary due to Monday holidays. In addition to regular meetings, there are also special meetings, such as the annual meeting, executive sessions, emergency meetings, and retreats. All meeting agendas are posted at City Hall and on the City’s website at least a week in advance, excluding emergency meetings.

Regular City of Dover municipal elections are held in odd-numbered years on the third Tuesday in April. The Mayor and nine Council Members are elected to four-year staggered terms on a non-partisan basis. Two members are elected from each of the four Council districts; the ninth member of Council and the Mayor are elected at large.
