The Library supports community organizations and welcomes tours of the Library or storytime sessions for groups.

The Library supports is Mission by developing and presenting programs that provide opportunities for information, discovery and entertainment.
Meeting Room Policy
The Dover Public Library meeting rooms are available for use by non-profit organizations devoted to educational, civic, welfare, or cultural activities. Meeting rooms are not available for use by organizations affiliated with profit-making or partisan political sponsorship; the benefit of private individuals; sectarian religious services or instruction; private parties, celebrations, or private clubs. Admission may not be charged to any event held in the Library's meeting rooms.
Library Card Policy
All Delaware residents are entitled to a library card which can be used in any public library in the state of Delaware.
Acceptable Behavior Policy
The Library strives to maintain an atmosphere that promotes the use and enjoyment of its resources and services; promotes the safety of the public and Library staff; and protects the building, furniture, equipment, and materials of the Library. All members of the public are welcome at the Dover Public Library. We expect Library staff to treat customers of the Library with courtesy. In turn, we expect Library customers to behave in the Library with dignity and in such a way that their actions do not interfere with the functions of the Library or with the convenience and comfort of other customers.
Teen Loft Policy
The Loft is the Library's space designed for teen customers for reading, study, homework, school projects, use of computers for appropriate educational and recreational purposes, and other Library activities. While the Loft is not a quiet space we do expect it to be a respectful space.
Wireless Network & Public Computer Acceptable Use Policy
The Library Network, supported by the Delaware Department of State, Division of Libraries, provides access to electronic information resources through the Internet to all Delaware public library card holders in good standing. Users of public library computers must enter their library barcode number and their Personal Identification Number (PIN) to access the Internet. Users of personal mobile devices in the library are also subject to this Computer Acceptable Use Policy.
Pre-pay for Print Jobs
Library customers may now pre-pay for computer printing services by creating a pre-paid deposit account.
Parent Laptop Loaner Policy
The Parent Laptop is available for parents and caregivers who are monitoring their children in the library's Kids Space.
