Salary range: Non-bargaining Grade 118 / $17.64 per hour (Based on Qualifications)

Hours: Part-Time

Job Description:

The City of Dover is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of part-time Passport Clerk in the Dover Public Library. The primary duties of this position include but not limited to providing customer assistance with the processing and submission of United States Department of State Passport applications. This position reports to the Library Director.

Job Responsibilities

  • Accept and process Passport applications in accordance with training and instruction
  • Provide assistance to the public using one-on-one interaction in the Library, via phone and other electronic means
  • Provide customers with applications, forms and brochures
  • Ensure customers submit completed applications
  • Order, organize and maintain material and supplies for Passport Services and maintain records as required by the United States Department of State

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be eligible to obtain a State of Delaware Notary Public commission
  • Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays
