The Finance Department continues to serve our customers in Dover with open communication, timely reporting of financial results, and prudent cash management. Through the team efforts of City Council, the Mayor, City Manager, and employees, the Finance Department will ensure compliance of policies and procedures. The Finance Department will continue to strive to enhance government accountability with a high standard of ethics and integrity. We will take a proactive approach to changes in economic conditions and accounting methods.
Our purchasing policies provide for public confidence in the integrity of City procurement to ensure competitive access to governmental purchasing by responsible contractors. Provisions are included to assist minority and local vendors.
Every City fiscal year (July 1st - June 30), the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) is prepared to show general statistics of Dover (demographic, economic, etc.).
