SPEICAL MEETING
November 5th, 1937
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Woodford and on roll call the following members answered present: Messrs. Millman, Vane, LeFevre, Burton, Hinkle and Downes.
Upon motion of Messrs. Burton and Downes, the City Manager was instructed to notify Mr. R. S. McNeal that the City has given him their last offer to buy the mill pond property and that he must accept or reject this offer within ten days from the date of notice. The electric rate for power shall be 2¢ per KW for the next ten years if the offer is accepted.
AUTHORIZATION FOR PURCHASE OF NEW TURBINE
Upon motion of Messrs. Downes and Burton, the City Manager was authorized to enter into a contract with the Westinghouse Electric & Manufacturing Company to purchase a new 2500 KW steam turbine, this turbine to be delivered as soon as possible.
BUILDING PERMIT
Upon motion of Messrs. Millman and Downes, the City Council instructed the City Manager to notify Mrs. John M. Houston that her permit for changing a chicken house on her property into apartments was rejected.
