REGULAR MEETING
November 9th, 1936
The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Dover was held on the 9th day of November, 1936. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Woodford and on roll call the following members answered present: Messrs. LeFevre, Downes, Millman, Keith, Burton, Frear, Hinkle and Vane.
MINUTES
Upon motion of Messrs. Keith and Hinkle, the reading of the minutes of the regular and special meetings was dispensed with.
CITY MANAGER’S REPORT
The City Manager’s report for the month of October was read by the Clerk and accepted upon motion of Messrs. Keith and Frear.
Upon motion of Messrs. Keith and Hinkle, the City Manager was instructed to confer with the City Solicitor and see what action could be taken in order to prevent the owners of Silver Lake mill property fro draining the lake and allowing the water to overflow the City property.
FINANCIAL REPORT
The financial report for the month of October was read by the Clerk and accepted and approved upon motion of Messrs. Keith and Hinkle.
ALDERMAN’S REPORT
The Alderman’s report for the month of October was read by the Clerk and accepted upon motion of Messrs. Burton and Keith. A check in the amount of $206.00 was turned over to the City Manager with the report of 17 arrests.
POLICE REPORT
The report of the Chief of Police was read by the Clerk and approved upon motion of Messrs. Burton and Vane.
COMMITTEE
Mr. Walker Mifflin appeared before Council and asked that the City run their water line out Hazletville Road as far as the City line and place a fire plug at that point in order to take care of an emergency due to fire on his farm. Upon motion of Messrs. LeFevre and Keith, the City Manager was instructed to make a survey of this line and report at the next meeting the approximate cost of extending it to the City limits.
ORDINANCES
Upon motion of Messrs. Frear and Downes, the City Council accepted the report of the committee appointed by Council to recodify the City ordinances. These ordinances were presented to Council in book form and were accepted and adopted as prepared by the committee upon the following vote:

Downes, yes;
Keith, yes;
Frear, yes;
Burton, yes;
Millman, yes;
Vane, yes;
and Hinkle, yes.
