SPECIAL MEETING
August 19th, 1935
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Woodford at 7 P. M. with the following members present: Messrs. Hinkle, Keith, Millman, Burton, Frear, Clark and Downes.
APPLICATION FOR BUILDING PERMIT
The meeting was called for the purpose of discussing the application for a building permit to construct a cement block laundry building on South Governors Avenue between Bank Lane and Water Street. After some discussion, Council decided, upon motion of Messrs. Keith and Hinkle, that Mr. Bowdel be allowed to build this laundry building on South Governor’s Avenue.
ATTENDANCE AT FIRE SCHOOL
Upon motion of Messrs. Keith and Burton, the City Council instructed the Clerk to draw an order of $30 on the Treasurer in order to send the Chief of the Robbins Hose Company and the two assistant Chiefs to the annual fire school in Baltimore, Upon motion of Messrs. Burton and Clark, Mr. Harry Hancock was appointed to act as Chief of the Robbins Hose Company during the absence of the regular officers.
