SPECIAL MEETING

January 13, 1930

The meeting was called to order by Mayor Woodford at 7:30 P.M. with the following members present, Messrs. Clark, Frear, Clements, Downes, Keith, Burton, Hinkle and LeFevre.

FIRE COMMITTEE

The meeting was called to discuss the purchase of some new fire alarm system there being present a committee from the Fire Department Mr. Hancock Mr. Baker and Mr. Hayes. After some discussion City Manager Shank was given authority upon motion of Messrs. Keith and Downes to install a new Beckworth fire siren on trial.

REFUND ON CURB

Upon motion of Messrs. LeFevre and Burton Clerk was instructed to issue corrected bills and refunds to all property owners who was charged $1.50 per front ft. for street improvement when they already had their curb. A refund of 40¢ per ft. was decided upon.

SPECIAL LIGHT RATE

Upon motion of Messrs. Keith and LeFevre Council voted to make a charge on al lighting current furnished at Carnivals and special occasions 3¢ per KW. Also including the Kent General Hospital at the expiration of the three year period at discretion of Council.

ADJOURNMENT

Upon motion of Messrs. Downes and Burton Council adjourned at 9 P.M.
