REGULAR MEETING
January 13, 1930
The meeting was called to order by President Woodford at 7:30 P.M. with the following members present, Messrs. Burton, Clements, Clark, Keith, Hinkle and Downes.
MINUTES
Upon motion of Messrs. Clements and Clark the reading of the minutes of the last regular meeting was dispensed with.
CITY MANAGERS REPORT
The attached report of the City Manager was accepted ordered placed in the minutes and filed, upon motion of Messrs. Keith & Burton.
Upon motion of Messrs. Clements and Burton the salary of the City Manager was raised from $340.00 per month to $375.00 per month.
TREASURERS REPORT
Upon motion of Messrs. Hinkle and Keith the following report of the Treasurer after being read by the Clerk was accepted ordered placed in the minutes and filed.

FIRE CHIEF REPORT
The report of the Fire Chief after being read by the Clerk was accepted upon motion of Messrs. Keith & Clements and ordered filed.
APPOINTMENTS FOR HOLDING ELECTION
The following members were appointed to hold the regular municipal election Messrs. Clements & Frear.
APPOINTMENT OF ASSESSOR
Upon motion of Messrs. Frear and Burton Mr. James B. Keith was appointed assessor for the coming year.
PREPARE BALLOTS
Upon motion of Messrs. Keith & Burton the Clerk was instructed to have the necessary No of Ballots prepared for the regular election.
COLLECTION OF CITY TAXES
Upon motion of Messrs. Keith & Burton the City Manager was instructed to proceed to collect 1929 City Taxes by law after Jan. 31, 1930.
PEDDLER PERMITS
Upon motion of Messrs. Keith & Frear Council instructed the Clerk to make a charge of One Dollar for all Huckster and Fish permits in the City Limits. Also to exempt farmers who are selling their own produce.
ALDERMANS REPORT
The Aldermans report for the month of Dec. and fines collected amounting to $249.00 with 14 arrests. Check for same being turned over to the treasurer. Upon motion of Messrs. Clements & Burton this report was ordered accepted and filed.
POLICE REPORT
The report of the Police was accepted as read upon motion of Messrs. Hinkle and Burton.
RENT FOR COUNCIL CHAMBER
Council instructed the Clerk to issue order for the payment of six months rent for the Council Chamber of $300.00.
ADJOURNMENT
Upon motion of Messrs. Keith and Downes Council adjourned at 8:10 P.M.
