REGULAR MEETING
January 2, 1928
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by President Woodford with the following members present: Messrs. Clements, Clark, Keith, Hinkle, LeFevre, Frear and Downes.
ALDERMAN’S REPORT
The Alderman’s report for the month of December showed twenty arrests and fines collected amount to $220.00. Check for same being turned over to the Treasurer. This report after being read by the Clerk was accepted on motion of Messrs. Keith and Frear.
ANNUAL REPORT OF ROBBINS HOSE COMPANY
The Annual Report of Robbins Hose Company as follows:
Out of Town Fires 28
Chimney fires in Town 15
House Fires in Town 9
Auto’s Fires 1
Pump on Fire 1
Tree on Fire 1
Total 55
Total Loss in Town $4,210.00
Total Mileage in Country 352.
Total Mileage in Town 22½
Remarks:
We would ask better police protection at fires.
We would ask that a fire Marshall be appointed in Town.
We would ask for a closer observation of fire plugs.
Average attendance 15 17/55.

PERMISSION FOR CROSSING PROPERTY WITH SEWER
Engineer, E. L. Williams appeared before Council and stated that he was having some trouble with Mrs. J. J. Morris in order to secure permission to cross her property with sewer. Council decided that they would instruct solicitor Satterfield to write Mrs. Morris offering her $100.00 for this permit. If same was not accepted to take necessary steps in order to condemn same.
ADJOURNMENT
Council adjourned at 8:40 P.M. to meet the following Monday evening at 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chamber to receive the Annual Report.
