SPECIAL MEETING
May 8, 1925
A SPECIAL MEETING of the Town Council of Dover was held in the Council Chamber at 7:30 P.M. May 8th, with the following members present: Messrs. Clements, Burton, Clark, Hinkle, LeFevre, Downes and Frear.
Bids were opened for generator and condensers, as follows:

A summary of the bids was made by Consulting Engineer Deery, who stated he would prefer not to make a definite decision as to which bid to accept the prices quoted being so close, but would prepare a written report to be presented to Council on May 15th.
Tax Rate for 1925 Fixed
Upon motion of Messrs. LeFevre and Clark the tax rate for 1925 was fixed at 80¢ per $100 on poll, personal and real estate, and 10¢ per $100 on real estate (for water tax), the 80¢ to be a regular tax of 50¢ plus 30¢ special tax to be used for purchasing new fire apparatus.
Complaint concerning sewer
Upon motion of Messrs. LeFevre and Clark, the complaint concerning sewer east of the Armory was referred to the Street Committee for investigation and report.
Adjournment
Upon motion of Messrs. LeFevre and Clark, council adjourned at 11:00 o’clock, to meet again on May 15th.
