Special Meeting

Dover, Dela., May 6th, 1921.

A Special Meeting of the Town Council was called by the President of Council at 7:30 P.M.

The following members were present: Messrs. Caulk, Hopkins, Burton, Clark, Hancock, Keith and President, Mr. Magee.

Object of Meeting: The object of the meeting, as stated by the President, was to secure ratification of Council of two slight alterations in the Boiler Contract.

The President of Council then presented the contract between the Edgemoor Iron Company and The Town of Dover, dated April 26th, 1921, with the following modifications:

“This contract accepted subject to shipping date, as of July 25th, 1921, and that deferred payments are to apply as provided in paragraph entitled “Payments” on last page of our formal proposition, dated March 30th, 1921.”

On motion made by Mr. Clark, seconded by Mr. Caulk, the above modification was accepted by Council, and the President authorized to so notify Mr. Dyer.

On motion made by Mr. Clark and seconded by Mr. Hopkins, Council voted to authorize the President of Council to notify the Edgemoor Iron company that the Town to haul everything pertaining to the boilers excepting the “Headers”, which were to be hauled to the Water & Light Plant by the Edgemoor Iron Company.

Adjourment: On motion of Messrs. Clark and Hancock, Council voted to adjourn to meet again at the call of the President.
