SPECIAL MEETING

November 4, 1957

A special meeting of City Council was held Monday, November 4, 1957, at 7:30 P.M. with Mayor Haman presiding. Councilmen present were Messrs Carroll, Davis, Hayes, Mundy, Tischer, Turner and Zartman.

AUDIT REPORT

William Manter, C.P.A., appeared before Council to explain the details of the completed audit of City accounts for te year ending June 30, 1957 and answer questions of the Councilmen on the report.

City Manager Ward presented to Council his annual report which Council approved for publication.

P R R PROPERTY

City Manager Ward outlined to Council his negotiations with the Pennsylvania Railroad and their offer to transfer title to a triangular piece of land at Loockerman and Forest Streets for the price of $2000. A part of the land will be required for right of way for street improvements which will be made by the State Highway Department as part of the Division and Forest Street projects. The State Highway Department has verbally offered to reimburse the City the cost of acquiring this land. On motion of Mr. Zartman, seconded by Mr. Mundy, Council authorized the City Manager to purchase the land for $2000.
