SPECIAL MEETING

May 7, 1951

A special Meeting of City Council was held Monday, May 7, 1951 at 8:00 P.M. with Mayor Storey presiding. Members present were Councilmen Culver, Holpp, Petty and Smith.

REPORTS OF MAYOR’S COMMITTEE OF 39

Judge Charles Terry submitted to City Council the report of the Mayor’s Committee of 39. The report consisted of reports of the following subcommittees which, with the exception of the Power Report, were unanimously approved by the Committee as a whole:

            Majority Report of Power Committee

            Minority Report of Power Committee

            Report of Sewage Committee

            Report of Water Committee

            Report of City Property Committee

            Report of City Street Committee

            Report of Committee on Office Organization and Technique

No report was submitted by the Finance Committee because it was not known to what extent the suggestions of the various committees would be adopted by City Council.

The Mayor and Council expressed appreciation for the work performed by the Citizens Committee.

Council adjourned at 8:30 P.M.
