SPECIAL MEETING

EASTOVER HILLS WATER LINE
The meeting was called to discuss the running of water lines to accommodate the proposed building project of 18 homes on Bayard Avenue and Green Hill Road, which is outside City Limits, by Mr. Van Asdlen, at an approximate cost of $1520.00 for cement pipe and $1635.00 for cast iron pipe.
After a lengthy discussion, upon motion of Mr. Downes, seconded by Mr. Vane, it was moved that the proposed water line be run, the approximate cost of same to be paid for by Mr. Van Asdlen before any work is started and if the amount paid was insufficient to vover the cost the balance was to be paid for by him (Mr. Van Asdlen) and in the event of an overpayment the balance would be refunded, and that there would be no rebate as suggested. Motion carried.
In this connection, Mr. Wilcox was directed to find out from other cities what they were doing in cases where water and sewer lines were requested outside of City limits.
