ADJOURNED MEETING
November 15th, 1937
The adjourned meeting of the City Council of the City of Dover was held on the 15th day of November, 1937. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Woodford and on roll call the following members answered present: Messrs. Downes, LeFevre, Keith, Burton, Vane and Hinkle.
MINUTES
Upon motion of Messrs. Burton and Downes, the reading of the minutes of the last regular and special meetings was dispensed with.
CITY MANAGER’S REPORT
The City Manager’s report for the month of October was read by the Clerk and accepted upon motion of Messrs. Keith and Downes.
Upon motion of Messrs. LeFevre and Downes, the City Manager was instructed to send notice to all property owners on the north side of Sacarackin Avenue that a 5’ sidewalk must be laid, with the understanding that the City would stand one-half of the cost of laying this walk.
FINANCIAL REPORT
The financial report for the month of October was read by the Clerk and accepted and approved upon motion of Messrs. Burton and Hinkle.
ALDERMAN’S REPORT
The Alderman’s report for the month of October was read by the Clerk and accepted upon motion of Messrs. Hinkle and LeFevre. A check amounting to $94 was turned over to the City Manager with the report of 17 arrests.
POLICE REPORT
The report of the Chief of Police was read by the Clerk and accepted upon motion of Messrs. LeFevre and Keith.
A LETTER
A letter from Mr. James M. Satterfield, Attorney, regarding the sewer on North Street in back of the properties of Henry Ridgely, James M. Satterfield and the U. S. Corporation was read by the Clerk. After some discussion, upon motion of Messrs. LeFevre and Burton, the City Manager was authorized to install a sewer from the alley back of Hinkle’s store on North Street to the Federal Street sewer.
