Job Description:

Civil Engineer I

Water and Wastewater Utility Department

The City of Dover is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Civil Engineer I.  The primary duties of this position are to analysis, design, construction, inspection and maintenance of a variety of water, wastewater, transportation, stormwater and geotechnical projects.

Job Responsibilities

  • Data and record keeping
  • System component analysis
  • Miscellaneous field investigations
  • Preparation of plans and specifications
  • Subdivision/site plan review including water, wastewater, stormwater and transportation infrastructure

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering, architecture or closely related field
  • Minimum of six (6) months of related experience
  • Experience with AutoCAD
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Possess Fundamental of Engineering certification or obtain within one (1) year of employment
