Biographical Information

Tricia Arndt is a lifelong Delawarean who has called downtown Dover home since 2006, where she resides with her husband, Jason, and their two children. She believes Dover can—and will—reach its full potential as a vibrant capital city that is safe, inclusive, and offers equitable opportunities to all, and that achieving this vision requires collective effort and engagement by all citizens, and a shared commitment to compassion, diligence, and responsible financial management.

Elected in a 2021 mid-term election and re-elected in 2023, Councilwoman Arndt brings more than 20 years of public service experience to her role. She is a certified professional planner with academic and professional backgrounds in resource conservation, policy & permitting, public administration, and land use planning. She currently serves as Chair of the Parks, Recreation, and Community Enhancement Committee, a position she has held during both terms. In addition, she serves on the Board of Directors for the Downtown Dover Partnership and as the City Council liaison to Kent County Levy Court.

Prior to joining City Council, Ms. Arndt was actively engaged in local civic efforts, including service as Chair of the Silver Lake Commission, member of the Downtown Dover Design Committee, citizen appointee to the Utility Committee, coordinator of her neighborhood group, and numerous volunteer efforts.

Councilwoman Arndt takes her oath of office seriously and is guided by the belief that elected officials must always prioritize the public good over personal interests and consider the long-term well-being of future generations.
