Biographical Information
Commissioner McGiffin is an attorney with Community Legal Aid Society, Inc. in Dover and also works as counsel to the Delaware State Senate Majority Caucus. He is a former Dover City Council member, representing the 3rd District from 2006-2011. He also served as the Delaware State Bar Association President in 2011-2012. A committed amateur musician, Commissioner McGiffin is a member of the Dover Symphony, Holy Cross Chamber Ensemble, Celtic Harvest (an Irish Traditional band) and Covered Bridge (an original Americana band), all based in Dover. He and his wife, Kathy Doyle, have been residents of Dover since August of 1988. Their two children were born and raised in Dover and have sought their fortunes in other environs.
